Sisters of St John of God have a long tradition of "Walking with the Aboriginal Peoples" of the Kimberley. Since 1907 approximately 130 women of the Congregation have lived and worked with the peoples of this region of Australia, at Beagle Bay, Broome, Lombardina, Derby, Balgo and Bidyadanga (La Grange).
