Aged Care

St John of God Villa, Western Australia

Sister SalmonSt John of God Villa is a fully accredited residential aged care facility licensed by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing to accommodate 60 residents. The Villa is owned and managed by the Sisters of St John of God. The strong presence of the Sisters inspires and encourages staff to give of their best and maintain the high standards set by the Sisters during their years of commitment to health care and services. The Villa offers accommodation and professional health care to retired members of Catholic religious communities and to lay people seeking an environment that enables them to continue their life-long commitment to God.

Situated adjacent to St John of God Hospital, Subiaco, the Villa is a haven of peace and tranquillity where spiritual needs are as important to staff as contemporary nursing care. A beautiful Chapel is on site, where liturgy celebrations and prayer services form an integral part of every day life. Accommodation is provided in single rooms with en-suite bathrooms and there are several lounges throughout the building. Meals are prepared and cooked on-site and are served in the central dining room. The well maintained gardens and courtyards provide ample opportunity to enjoy the wonders of nature.

All residents of the Villa are approved by the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing prior to admission. This is done via the Aged Care Assessment Team (ACAT) based at most major public hospitals. Fees and charges are in line with guidelines from the Commonwealth Department of Health and Ageing. Before admission, care needs may be reviewed by Villa staff to ensure that assessed needs can be met and that the environment is appropriate for the applicant. Care may be provided on a permanent or respite basis and Villa staff have the skills and knowledge to care for residents with low and high care needs.

Admission enquiries should be made to the Administrator/Nurse Manager on +61 8 9388 5222 or by email to villa@ssjg.org.au
